Sometimes it’s good to wear it long and that’s where the copper oak leaf pendant comes in.
Hand sawn from copper sheet, a rolling mill imprints the veins of a real leaf. The metal is then worked by hand to bring the leaf to life before an antique patina is carefully applied to further enhance detail and deepen the sense of movement and shape.
The leaf is approximately 7cm long and 3.5cm wide. It hangs on a choice of cognac, tan or green leather cord which fastens with a copper lobster clasp. The cord length is 24” or 30”, depending on your style preference (see the size guide image for reference).
While all designs in the oak leaf range are based on a single leaf – from an oak tree growing in the park behind the Rowan Berry studio, your piece will still be beautifully, uniquely yours. Lovingly crafted by hand, you may notice gentle variations in shape, texture, colour or finish compared with the photographs. The copper can range from soft golden tones to deeper purple browns. These colours may darken further over time as the copper is exposed to air, a natural process that is one of the appeals of this beautiful metal. A protective coating has been applied that will slow this process.
