Landscape necklace in copper, brass and silver. Approx. 2.5cm diameter on an 18" sterling silver chain.
This little necklace is my representation of Carnoustie Bay, where Rowan Berry Jewellery is based on the north east coast of Scotland. The town's skyline, sloping down to the sea and the sandy beach around the bay are hand sawn from brass plate. Sterling silver adds sparkle to the night time waters and the moon above. This all sits on a backdrop of copper, oxidised to provide the velvety colours of dusk.
All Rowan Berry jewellery is lovingly crafted by hand, so each piece carries its own little character. You may notice gentle variations in shape, texture, colour or finish compared with the photographs. These are not imperfections, but the natural marks of the making process — a reminder that your jewellery has been crafted by hand rather than produced by the thousand in a factory. Your piece will be beautifully, uniquely yours.
Over time, copper, brass and bronze develop a rich natural patina - a soft darkening or variation in colour that gives each piece its own unique character. The copper in this piece has been deliberately patinated during its creation as part of its design. You may notice the colour of your jewellery evolving as it experiences life with you.

Caring for your jewellery:
All metals, with the exception of platinum and pure gold, can tarnish without a little care. Regular use of a polishing cloth can help avoid this.
Keep your jewellery dry. Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions & cleaning products. Preferably store in an airtight container.
