This opal is a lab grown. Lab grown gemstones maintain all the attractive qualities of mined gemstones, without the environmental impact and high cost. This little beauty came from Japan, where it took at least a year to grow.

All metals, with the exception of platinum and pure gold, can tarnish without a little care. Regular use of a polishing cloth can help avoid this.
